THE INTERACT CLUB OF NASR SCHOOL

One of the important activity of a Rotary Club is, to promote and develop the interact  section of the organization. The Interact Club of Nasr School is a proud arm of Rotary Club Of Hyderabad Deccan, marching strong and promoting the Rotary ideals of service and fellowship. With a strong contingent of 214 members, The Interact Club At Nasr School hopes to see a very promising year ahead under the able guidance of the coordinator Ms. Zenobia Rustomfram

Activities During 2009-10

A day Trip to Ankuram Society for Development of Women and Children was undertaken. Saplings were planted  at Sanhalpam Home marking youth’s contribution to a greener earth and a better environment.

The Interact week celebrations were the highlight of the year. To raise funds for the various on going charity projects, food stalls were put up in the school premises. The premier show of the Movie "Azab Prem ki Gazab Kahani" was also held during Interact week for fund raising.

An Overnight trip to Greenfields Centre for Outdoor and Development Programmes was held for all Interact members to promote Leadership qualities.

Fellowship

11th  November saw the fellowship event of the year when games were organized for all members. Fun and frolic ensued for around 2 hours after school. It was a memorable event for all interactors.

The New Dawn

The working committee and the aspiring leaders of the board for 2010-2011 are a bunch of promising young girls.

At the onset of the year, Rs.3000/- was given to the President Naina Thirani to fulfill the
needs of underprivileged children. Selected as the Horlicks Whiz Kid she chose to uphold the Child's Right to Redreation.This amount along with some more that she raised on her own was spent towards buying outdoor and indoor sports recreational equipment. These equipment along with books collected by the Interactors were distributed to the following   organizations;

Desire society
Ankuram
Kanya Gurukul School
2 Govt schools at Ameerpet and Yousufguda.

Some of the projects identified by the Interact club to be completed this year are;

1. Collection of books to be presented to the Nasr Literacy Centre and an Orphanage yet to be identified.
2. Interact week - games, food stalls, movie and spreading important messages through badges.
3. Trip to Greenfields.
4. Community Project to be decided upon.
5. Vocational guidance at every club meet in school.
6. Publishing an Interact Magazine with articles written by members.

We hope to see a promising year filled with community projects, youth activities and fellowship.
